Artist Statement
I think of my artwork as a form of sociological study; interrogating the patterns of social relationships, social interaction and culture especially across different nations. Often referencing the various nations I have had the opportunity of interacting with, my work explores nationalism, identity, group ethics and the political effect on societies.
Working across photography, film, installation from sourced objects, I interrogate how these factors divide people into different nationalities and nations.
While I use a variety of materials and processes in each project, my methodology is consistent. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of work. My arrangements are schematic, inviting the viewer to move into a space of cross- examination and analysis.
A collection of my work will be exhibited at the Harrow Art Centre in the month of February 2019.
